Subject is my question, specifically I'm looking for a dual-belt aternator pulley that is NOT an underdrive pulley. For a S5 if that makes any difference. Doing a little shopping on the net today, and I found a several places that sell underdrive pulleys, but none in the stock diameter.

Thanks,
Pete

Have you tried Mazdatrix.com?

Yup, they sell them, but it's an underdrive design. For a street driven car that spends any significant time at idle, an underdrive pulley isn't suitable as the alternator won't produce enough juice to charge the battery and keep up with accessory loads.

Too bad no one makes a smaller diameter alternator pulley (overdriven) to work with underdriven main pullies to maintain alternator output. I've been looking for a way to slow down the water pump for track use but also maintain alternator output for the few times the car sees street use.

Type in Rx7 Pulley on ebay. There is a guy in Florida that sells OEM outside diameter pulley's with 2 belts. Got some for my car last year. They are in chrome and black. Just looked on ebay and they are there now.

^ Using my stock S5 alternator pulley as reference, the Re-Speed pulley, at 2-5/8" diameter per their website is the same exact diameter as stock, so it wouldn't help infernosg, as he's looking for an overdrive pulley (to net a stock ratio when paired with an aftermarket underdrive e-shaft pulley). It works for me though, since I still have my stock e-shaft pulley.
