Short of buying a new wiring harness, whether is be engine, battery whatever... is there anywhere you guys know that sells OEM color coded wires, say you want to move a fuse box, or replace every wire in the harness and keep the factory colors for easier Identification later, is there a place that sells them....

just curious, thinking for suture reference etc..

Thanks

^Looks good! I would love to tuck all the wires but I didn't think it was possible.

(I'm really a huge noob when its comes to wiring, hence the questions)

With wire from prowireusa. do you guys (who ever has done it) run all the same color of wire, or do you try to switch it up a bit... i'm curious as I would like to replace a few wires in my engine harness (maybe add a few as well) and was wondering what is the best way/solution...

Did you put it all below the headlight...? I would love to do this, just want a little guidance/advice :P

I too would love to see what others have done in the "wire-tuck" side of things. my generic search for "wire tuck" didn't pull up much, and the fact that I am on a new laptop here at MOS school also means I don't have any of my old bookmarks.

When I did this on my FC I was lucky enough to have access to a second front harness. I cut the wires out of the spare harness to keep the colors consistant. Short of doing this, Prowireusa.com is the best place that I have found to get wires.

Adding spare wires is a good idea if you're planning on changing shit around. For example, in my FC, I have a battery cut off switch. But I also don't like constantly resetting my radio presets, I have an alarm, power window roll-up relay etc etc etc that would be useless if the battery was shut off. So with access to the spare harness, I wires a few of the circuits in the stock fuse block strait to a breaker off the battery before the cut off switch so I can turn the battery off, get out of my car, hit the alarm arm, the windows roll up, the parking lights flash, the horn honks, my radio keeps it presets and I can unlock the doors when I get back. This required alot of thought and planning. Planning is key to wiring.

Using the same color as the factory is a great idea, makes trouble shooting easier. It's pretty easy to look into a harness and see which wires are factory and which are not. What I do is print out the appropriote FSM wiring shematics and makes notes to the changes that I have made.
