Got my car through its inspection and have just installed a decat. Trying to simplify things as much as possible so am wanting to get rid of the emissions stuff, namely the ACV valve and air pump. Are they simply a case of unbolting, pulling them out, and making sure any lines are blocked off that need to be? Can't see there being much more to it but want to check.
I know I could do with another belt running up to the alternator if I do this, and am working on that :)

You need to block off the ACV on the LIM. It is an easy thing to do. Just get a block off plate kit.
You can also pick up a dual alternator pulley. I have one from Banzai, that I am not using anymore....

I've already got a block-off kit and have already blocked off the BAC.
Actually, the Japanese FC's come with the dual alternator pulley as stock, so I think I just have to get a belt for it and fit it up.

i just removed my air pump and got a smaller belt. Bypass or block off the rubber lines going to it

You can ditch the whole rats nest. Here's how I eliminated mine, the only hard line across the top of the engine that I kept was the one going to the turbo.

Had a look at it tonight and probably got about halfway through disconnecting the ACV from everything but then got a little lost so put it back for now. Was having trouble getting to the inner bolt connecting the ACV hard pipe to the air pump and wasn't really in a mood to play around with it. Will leave it and tackle it another day.
My intention in the end is also to remove the entire rat's nest.
