IRP High Output Alternators
I can have the stock alternator rebuilt and upgraded to put out higher amperage. Stock these alternators put out about 90 amps. When you add underdrive pulleys and electronics such as stereo, gauges, etc this can become a problem. It is even possible to blow a motor from insufficient voltage to the fuel pump and injectors under load. Common signs of a weak alternator are going through batteries, slow rolling windows, slow cranking, etc. My rebuilds put out around 120 amps WITH a Greddy-style underdrive pulley. I have had several done for local customers with good results. I am thinking of making them available to the public for $165 providing you give me a core. Let me know if there is any interest.
