Spirit R/RZ style Passenger Footrest Pre-production Sale
Anyone who has rode in the passenger seat of the FD3S realizes the passenger foot well does not provide any support for your feet. Mazda was kind enough to provide an oh-sh*t handle for the 255hp FD, but when they upped the power to 280hp for the Spirit R and RZ models in Japan, they realized that passengers would have a much harder time staying in place
![]() ![]() ![]() Highlights:
![]() Pricing/Timing: We've been working with a new manufacturer to reduce production costs while not sacrificing strength or quality. We are running a pre-production sale to offer even greater savings. Once we begin shipping orders the sale will be over! $120 (normally $145). To Purchase: Please click the link below for further details. We are expecting to being shipping the footrests in the next few weeks ![]() Link ---> FD3S LHD Passenger Foot Rest - SakeBomb Garage Here's a little video we took demonstrating the strength of our latest design ![]() There's a 165lb man attached to those shoes and as you can see the footrest flexes slightly but returns to it's shape once he steps off. You'd have to seriously scare the bejeezus out of your passenger to damage this footrest! Enjoy! Test: FD3S RX-7 passenger footrest (LHD) - YouTube We also have a second view showing he wasn't holding onto anything to offset his weight. -Dan SakeBomb Garage Last edited by SBGarage; 07-31-2013 at 12:30 PM. |

On our site it says August 19th is the expected release date, but they should be ready to ship well before that. ![]() -Dan |

Update: We are still waiting for the footrests to come back from sandblasting. Apparently they ordered the wrong grit so there was a slight delay. I haven't had a chance to measure the space behind the footrest (for LS1 PCM fitment), but I should get to it either later today or tomorrow.
Thanks, -Dan |

As promised.....
We made a little diagram to help you determine whether or not the PCM will fit behind the footrest. The dimensions listed are also with the OEM carpet and OEM floor mats in place. It seems like it should definitely fit behind the footrest, let us know what you think. ![]() -Dan ![]() Last edited by SBGarage; 08-08-2013 at 07:04 PM. |

All footrests have shipped out if you've ordered. If you're still on the fence now is the time to purchase. The price will be returning to normal in the next week! Thanks to everyone for making this another successful sale!
