Default Goopy Custom 12A Rotor Housings !

Here is something we have had for some time and now available to all those looking to keep the 12A alive.

12A Housings machined from 13B housings.
Precision machined to exact width of 12A housings.

Many benefits such as:
1. exhaust port is larger than a 12A without any modifications.

2. With our precision machining housing width is more uniform and precise than a used 12A housings.

3. 1989 and later housings have the spark plug distance benefit.

4. We can also machine the spark plug thread area to accept any BR series spark or aftermarket plug without having to grind a socket.

5. Can use them with FC, FD or Cosmo irons and make a monster 12A.

With so many 13B rotor housings being tossed and recycled why not put them to use once again. Many of the high millage 13B housings are not reused for the edge wear on both sides but with this process and our Refreshing process we can make them a gem once again.

Current we offer them with no water o-ring grove but it will be available soon.

Prices:
$450.00 Per pair including media blasting and chrome refreshing. (labor only)

$700.00 Per pair if We provide the rotor housings.

6port, TII, FD & Cosmo to 12A Flanges coming soon.

I really like what you guys are doing with the whole "new technology applied to old school hardware" thing. Keep up the great work!

i would like to see how they perform since you end up taking so much of the supportive material out of it.

Agreed. I love the idea but not sure of longevity. The area around the spark plugs and the exhaust outlet are my biggest questions even with the sleeve in it still takes a lot of abuse. Have you all run these yet in high output engines or stock builds? If so, for how long...

I understand the concerns but after dealing w/ Johnathan for a bit now I doubt he would put something on the market w/o testing. I am using his seals in quite a few engines right now w/ great results and I am building my own engine w/ them.

I'm sure he has tested but I'm curious what results he got. Did they hold up over time or are these just good to slap together a quick race engine. Were they tested to their breaking point and if so what power levels were achieved prior to failure?

I like the idea here but..... The spread on the spark plugs in the 13B housings and the 12A rotor trench, are different for a reason. By changing the width of the "cylinder" and not adjusting the rotor trench and spark plug spread, you may be doing more harm than good?

Maybe, but we have to take into account fact that it was compromise in the first place - power at full load vs. low load fuel economy and emissions...

I did this a few years back on some chromeflaked fd housings.
Outer waterseal groove was my concern but they hold up for some bridged action in the racecar.
Made a thread about it on rx7club. Search for it .
