Didn't see any threads for this so I figured I'd start one, hope it catches on.

Been working on redoing my intake charge pipes, finished the hot side yesterday:

Literally just did this. Just came up to research a few more designs. First attempt at a manifold.

That is what this whole sub forum is for. Everyone can have their own thread if they would like! Yeeehaw!
Perfectly capable of reading on my own, thank you. All fabrication takes time and work, but the results/progress are not always worth creating a new thread for. Perhaps not everyone wants their own thread and would sometimes prefer to post in a general 'latest work' thread, as is the case on many other forums. If so, great. If not, thread dies.

Personally, I would rather see individual threads on each project...

This is purely to keep information orderly and easier to search.

GIGANTIC threads eat up a lot of resources for parsing.
In this case, this thread just started, but if it keeps getting larger and larger, then searching through the entire thread becomes inefficient.

If you still don't like that idea, you're welcome to start a thread on YOUR projects only...
This way, you can keep track of your stuff, and it keeps you from starting a new thread for "smaller" stuff?

Be easy bud!!

As of now there aren't enough shots of weldy-weldering in here to really justify multiple threads for each individual product. Personally I figure it's cool to just throw a snippet in when people think about it.

I'm sure if the individual doing the posting wants to catalog their specific project than they could/would start a dedicated thread.

Worse case scenario, if this thread BLOWS UP it can be split up to different topics when it picks up.

Less talk, more pics. Thread saved?

AN fittings on stock water pump and aluminum radiator.

As a bonus, the 3rd pic also has a shot of my home made velocity stacks as well as the AN fitting flange I made for the top of the water pump housing.

How about talking about your equipment?

Looking at the Everlast MIG 140 for now.
It's 110VAC, so it plugs into an outlet.
I gotta just take care of light welding - mostly exhaust and smaller projects for steel right now.
If I feel the need to upgrade, I'll go to a 200A unit later...
$400 for this unit off Amazon.

From this, I'll probably go to a 200A TIG unit, since I want to concentrate more on the aluminum and SS stuff.
$1200 is a lot of bang for the buck!

Yeah, I know the hardcore "red" / "blue" guys are cringing, but I don't have $1000 and $2000 to drop on this kinda stuff.
I don't think I'll get serious - i.e. certified - anytime soon; got too much other things I gotta take care of, so it's hobbyist level right now.
I follow ChuckE2009 on YouTube, and he makes these Everlast units look really attractive...

Ted I think you will be fine with the Everlast units I would pick them over Lincoln anyway.
