Have anybody have issue with the oil control rings?
Ok my friend ran a 9.6x with 122mph which he let off due to massive smoke and oil dumped on the track. He thought it is the turbo which only has only afew hours on the dyno and one pass at the track. There is mininum shaft play on the turbo and when he opened the motor everything seems ok. I don't think the turbo is the problem but rather the oil rings or springs to blame.Does any racer out there every have this problem?

Thats movin on right there (9.6 getting out of it 122mph.). I have not had any issues on my current new motor. Did he spec the rings? How much psi is he running?

Can't confirm since the boost controller hose pop off during the run. I would assuming the oil ring springs is out of spec for oil to go into the motor. I doubt a brand new BW S400 could leak oil in one run.
