Default Hit by a friggin deer on the way home from DGRR!

Just my luck... first I scrape one of my rims, then on the way home a friggin deer runs into the side of my car!

Luckily, the deer hit my B-pillar head on. The only damage is a dented B-pillar and a smashed mirror. The deer, car, and driver survived. A few inches to the left and I'd probably be in a world of hurt right now. I'm amazed that there isn't a scratch or dent on the side of the car.

What really sucks is that I just replaced the mirror a few months ago. Finding one in Black Cherry is basically impossible.

I'm debating whether to file a claim or just get a new mirror painted and call it a day.

Damn that sucks! I think you can just replace the mirror glass, though, if the housing is OK.

Could have been a LOT worse!

The housing is cracked and some plastic bits are rattling around in there. Amazingly enough, the motor to control the mirror still works!

2005

I may just buy a black mirror (or set of mirrors) and have them repainted when I get my bumper done since it needs repainting badly.

And you can decide weather you want it or not.

Sorry to learn about the deer hitting you Mike. I hope you get it back to looking good soon. I'm glad you were not hurt.
