Default Ls2 Rx-8...

I just wanted to let some of you know that Hinson Supercars are working on LS2 RX-8.

If they finish it on time, they will show it off first at DGRR 2008.

DGRR 2008 is going to be an interesting year! Ton of new vendors and new and unique cars.

No doubt on the 20B 8. I saw a few pics of it on Nopistons yesterday.

Acsta did 20B RX8 back in 2004. They sold them for $50-60K converted. I think they were the first to do them and also they were the first few to do FD 20Bs without bump steer issues. But I'm little hazy about the details.. its been so long..

I think I remember those 20B RX-8's!!

Wasn't the first one silver and have a scoop molded into the front bumper that was a direct inlet to the turbo?

I remember seeing a video on Streetfire(?) of a 20B RX-8 and it was silver.

LS motors are junk! Why would you RUIN an RX-7 by putting one in it? It throws off the weight balance too!

Just kidding! Sorry if I brought back any bad memories for anyone...

If Hinson makes a kit for RX-8s, I might have to seriously consider selling my FD and building an RX-8... those cars can be had in low 10s these days, so the cost of the build shouldn't be too much. I always loved the look of those cars w/ Mazdaspeed body kits.

I am under the impression that the shock towers are to narrow. I am not sure where I got that idea though.

Seems like a tough issue to get around....

I spoke to Hinson Supercars. I was wrong. There is nothing structurally that would keep this from happening. They said they are just waiting on someone to bring them a RX8 to begin the process. Wow, kind of makes me wish I had started down that path rather than the 20B FC I am into now. Maybe in the future...

So does this mean if I were to take them my 8 I'd get a free Lsx out of it?

Lately I've been leaning towards getting an FC and droppin' a Ls in it.
