Default 1986 RX-7 w/ Nissan Diesel Engine

Malvern, Ohio 44644

I am posting this for the family of one of my best friends. We lost him recenlty to a sudden heart attack.
The car is a red 1986 RX-7 that I am sure is one of a kind. The body and chassis is from Texas and is very clean.
The motor is a 4 cylinder Nissan Diesel that is installed in the car and was running. It previously had a Vortek V-6 in it which he had installed.
It has the Mazda 5 speed manual tranny w/ hydraulic clutch and a Ford T-bird differential. ** GM T-5 tranny** with new gears in it.
The fuel injectors are currently out of the car because it was doing a little too much deisel smoking and he was cleaning them at the time of his death.
We will not refuse any reasonable offer for the car.
Feel free to email me for pictures or more details.

Sure its not an 86? I cant see anyone putting a junk motor in a 93-95 rx7.

smoking bad? like black smoke? did you check the particulate filter? or air filter. diesel will smoke black badly if these are dirty. I usually don't dig piston engine conversion but diesel is another story

I would say 40-50 if it is not under powered for the body.
That in a nissan truck would get good gas mileage.

Default Cleveland to Malvern

Malvern is about 1.5 hrs south of Cleveland if you are coming down 77.

As far as mileage he did not get to drive it much before his death.
He did say that it seemed to have a fair amount of get-up and go.

The smoking was slightly more than normal diesel smoke, but he thought it was dirty injectors, thats why the pics show them out.
He was cleaning them and changing o-rings on them when he died.

Also forgot to mention that it does have a GM T-5 tranny with new gear installed for low end torque but low RPM at cruising speed on the highway.

I didn't get to ride in it with the diesel in it, but it did rock with the vortek V-6 in it.
