Has anyone ever used a GoPro HD?
i am looking at buying one. They seem extremely badass. Hoping someone has some first hand experience with them. I know the non HD models are great as a friend has one, but this new HD has my interest peaked.

I fly drones & film crap.

It does look like a badass cam and would be great for DGRR and other motorsport events. If you buy one though this link it will also help support our forum.

I have one and from what I've seen (my friend owns the older non HD one), the quality is great so far. The sound issue where you could only hear the wind has been dealt with, but there is still quite a bit of sound. The whole thing comes in a relatively small package comes with all the mounting hardware so you're really getting a good package IMO. Overall, I'd say the quality of the videos it records and the pictures it takes is around an 8/10 but the overall package with the mounting hardware and the waterproof casing makes it a 9/10.

There is no anti shake harware built into the camera, being that the camera is a super wide angle lens and only weighs 4 ounces you really don't need it.
For specifications and lots of videos visit You can also go to Youtube.com and type in go pro and see many videos taken by this camera!

I know this is kind of old, but I have four of these. They are pretty good. The only serious issue you have with wind noise is if you don't use the waterproof case thinger. Even still it's not all THAT bad to be honest. I mean, what do you expect out of a 300 dollar camera?
Picture quality is amazing, even on the lowest setting. YouTube sucks as far as video quality goes, but here is an example. My big ass getting into the freeway. I made this video just testing out the camera before I went out to the track, disregard the watermark in the middle of the video, I didn't have editing software then. I've not really made anything 'cause my FD sucks and my drift car isn't finished yet. Anyway sorry for ranting, here's a couple vids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzRoKMgzQSc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOZXB2Yx9A0 As you can see, the quality on the cameras is actually pretty damn good. They are totally worth their price if you ask me. edit: owned Can't use YouTube tags. |
