oil pressure gauge question
Ive had a 52mm amber/white smoke faced oil pressure gauge installed on my FC for about a year or so now (see the interior section for a post about it) and just recently the gauge will perform its its full sweep upon startup, but instead of dropping back down to the usual psi numbers at hte start it stay's pegged out at max. Would the grounding of the sending unit's 'power' wire cause this or is the gauge itself going south?

Sorry for the late reply, (how do we set up email notification when someone post up in this child forum?)
That indicates an open circuit. Check the ground wire, check the wire going to the gauge for any signs of compromise such as melted, cut, etc.. |

Hm, I think you would have to subscribe to the thread to get notifications.
But thanks for the reply. The gauge has recently returned to normal, but now I can go back through my wiring job to see if its rubbed raw somewhere. |
