Sandblast Rally Feb 4th, 2012 - Volunteers Needed!
Sandblast Rally Febraury 4th, 2012 in Cheraw, SC Click Here for Volunteer Information! No motorsport offers more excitement than rallying! But its takes volunteers to make the events happen. Don't be alarmed by the term "volunteer" as its not as terrible as it sounds! I have many times, I will many times more. Road marshaling is essentially spectating, only your told were to be. You have one responsibility, make sure the road stays clear during the racing. Typically, you will follow a stage captain out in your car, park on an intersecting road and watch the action. Better still, the spots can be much better than any crowed spectators areas, were more foresight is given towards crowd control and easy exits than quality viewing! Remember! These events can't happen without your help! even the wife or girlfriend may love it!

I've been going to this event for maybe just as long as I've been going to DGRR, 4-6 years.
Glad to see fellow rotards are into this event! I think I volunteered once or twice before. The other years I spectated. But yeah this event is Awesome! Well worth it. Some pictures from one I've been to:

make sure to sign up on the NASA site! You will stay in the loop as to whats going on and can get a spot for road marshalling. I have always had a good time! Bring a friend, some food, beer, etc!

Some more pictures, from yesterday.
These guys came down from Main with this awesome Cosworth. There was also a nice Subaru Brat there. There was also a Celica All Trac Turbo there as well, but I didn't get a picture of it. This year had some interesting cars.
