GB: 347SS Investment Cast Tapered BorgWarner EFR IWG Rx7 Turbo Manifolds
We are now in the process of making 347SS investment cast BorgWarner EFR IWG Rx7 turbo manifolds. These will suite the 7670, 8374, & 9180 T4 IWG turbochargers on the FD3S 93-2002 Chassis, both LHD & RHD . These will only fit LHD FC3S rx7s. 8374/9180 on the FC3S chassis do require grinding on the LIM( a few mm to clear the compressor vband clamp). Twin Exhaust gas temperature, or exhaust manifold back-pressure bungs are also cast into both runners. All threaded portions are being rolled before the entire manifold is heat treated. The entrance to the runners are the same inner diameter as the exhaust sleeves, and taper as their reach the T4 flange. This process is not possible with your traditional welded turbo manifold. These will out last and out perform our current welded design. Lifetime warranty for original purchaser also! We should have the first 5 samples in 7 more weeks, then shortly after 30+ manifolds. There is no longer ANY reason to pay someone else to make a copy of our current welded design.
Please bare with us as this is the first group buy we have ever done. Also note we do NOT have a concrete time-frame in place for receiving these. Please do not enter into this group buy if you are not 100% committed to following through. If you want a full kit we can obviously put you down on the list, as we are also in the process of mass producing our IWG turbo systems and by the time these are done will have 30+ worth of full turbo kits in stock ready to ship. Here is the pricing for just the turbo manifolds per the group buy. We will also knock x2 this amount off per full kit for the group buy( $200 off per 10, $400 for 20, $600 for 30) Bare manifold group buy pricing only( includes freight in lower 48 states) 1-10 $700 11-20 $600 21-30 $500 Full details for the turbo kit are here; BorgWarner EFR IWG FD3S Turbo System We will be updating our blog soon to reflect a better collection of information including all the dynos charts and comparisons etc. Please note that these manifolds are designed exactly like our welded units in terms of fitment. They are designed to be used with out inconel gasket which is thicker than our standard stamped 304ss gasket. You can use a a stamped gasket, but it does require grinding of the LIM on the FD3S chassis, and even more grinding than normal with 9180/8374 on the FC3S LIM. We have 7 deposits so far.

LOL well I didn't figure most others would need the two extra ports, and I'm not sure yet what the thread pitch will be anyway. Also, back then it didn't cross my mind about getting another manifold. I'm pretty happy with the one I have, but this one is awesome too.

This is now closed as we exceeded the 30 deposits. We are now just waiting on the cast manifolds to arrive. We have 15 extra not sold that we are continuing this group buy, but no longer as a manifold only. A turbo, or full system in addition to the cast manifold is now required. Same pricing as the top tier discount. Please call our office for more info; 763 753 9939.

Damn. I'm thinking about stepping up to an 8374 but I was going to source the turbo through a buddy and I don't need the other parts lol. Now I wish I'd gotten on this.

The cast manifolds are available separately. Please note we are still probably 1 to 2 weeks out on these at the moment;

I thought you ran EGT pre-turbo, and EMAP after the turbo.

The point is to see the back pressure before the turbo. Post turbo emap would not give any really useful information unless the exhaust is very restrictive.

I wanted to see if I need to step up in downpipe diameter, but I guess that's just a one time use anyway. Last edited by speedjunkie; 09-30-2015 at 02:15 AM.. |
