Default Speed For Sale Shootout 2008 and Nissan GTR Nationals

http://www.speedforsale.com/pages.php?vid=201

Click link for details. Payouts this year will be 2-3X that of last years and we are hoping for an even better turnout. This is the second year of the event and hopefully it will be an even bigger success than last year. This is a great opportunity for the rotorheads to come and represent the rotary community and show why we love these cars so much. If you arent into racing there is still tons of fun to be had, meeting new people and hanging is always my favorite part of these events.

This year we are also incorporating the Nissan GTR and this will be a great chance for you guys to view some of these cars up close and see what they can really do on the track. Hope to see as many of you guys there as possible.

David Jerome

Thinking about doing the PP like you were talking about the other day?

Hope to make it again. The FB should hopefully be down in the 12s this time around.

It was great to see you show up and represent as all the fd owners were scared to drive down the track J/K

Brent, I am still going back and forth on the idea of the PP with nitrous but that may be more work than I want to tackle plus I am unsure if I want to do that to a fd.

That would be pretty wicked though, a PP w/NOS in an FD would be a nice change of pace IMO. Hopefully I will get more than 3 passes this year lol...keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey now I drove down the track twice, although I think I was the only FD. We did have Phil almost talked into it but the event ended.

I should be back this year, hopefully to back up last years TGP event. That was one of my favorite events at that track I've been to.

I was just trying to get a reaction out of some people. With the right tires you would have been in the high 11s and your car ran great considering it dominated the day before on the drag strip. We had worked on Phil all day to get out there then they close the track on us

As for the track day I know we will probably have some GTRs this year so if some of the owners can drive you may have a heck of a challenge on your hands. Bring the 275s this year

I don't know about 11s, maybe with a good driver, but 1/4 and 1/8 mile aren't my thing. Which you could probably tell.

GTR's are heavy But if they are on R-comps with a good driver they should be pretty tough to beat, especially since they have about 2x the hp. Maybe I need to tune for 17psi or so.

Ok.. is that directed at me? I will go down the track this year even if i have to push it! I just could not take the chance last year with just getting of the dyno the day before and having a couple issues. So now I am waiting on a new tranny- to do my clutch, flywheel job.

If Gary White shows up he is good for 9.6's....for the supras....
We need chrispeed up heree!

I figured you would respond to that, I just wanted to see the trap speeds on that beast.

ErnieTs car has low low 9s in it if he can get a clean pass in. Ive driven FDs with around 500rwhp but never tried to control one making 750rwhp.
