Group Buy: FD3S HID Projector kit from SportTuner.com
I was told by owner of SportTuner to see if we could get a Group Buy going for these lights. If we sell enough, he will donate one maybe two to give out at DGRRX.
If we could get 25 buyers, SportTuner will sell these for $600/ kit!! This is way cheaper than any other kits out there. For more info about these lights, goto: http://www.sporttuner.com/Electrical.html I'm about to install a set into my FD and will post more info about them. Phil

I'd like to see your kit installed with some feedback before committing to a group buy, but i'm interested! I've been looking at other kits, and this one looks pretty well sorted with proper projectors rather than stuffing the bulb into the reflector housing. I'd like to see the instruction manual that is 'coming soon' on the website. I don't really want to have to a bunch of cutting to make it fit the headlight bucket.

Opps!!! I've totally forgotten about these....
I have them on my MB FD and they are great! Good cut off and install wasn't too bad. Here are some pics.. Here are some comparison pics between my Acura TL HIDs and the projector style Sport Tuner HIDs. My TL Sport Tuner HID projects on the FD Different exposure My honest impression of these are very positive! Price is also good and quality seems good. Call sporttuner and ask for Anthony. He will answer any of your questions.

Looks alright for a cheaper kit, but SakeBombGarage kit looks a lot better. The new SakeBomb kits should be using the Morimoto ballast that have integrated igniters in the ballast units. SakeBomb projectors are also bigger. They utilize the Infiniti FX projectors with upgraded clear lenses as opposed to the OEM haze lenses. Yes these are cheaper and look good especially with the angel eyes feature, but probably have nothing on the beam of the SakeBomb kit. Size does matter and these look like smaller projectors. Good deal too. I just wouldn't put them on the same level as the SakeBomb kits. My lights are the shit.

Mine are 4300K btw. Phil it looks like you've got 6000K yeah? What bulbs do you have, and what brand are those ballast? What kind of warranty also? Also the photos above are taken with my iPhone 3GS. Jeff |

The sport tuner kit uses a chinese made projector known as the G1 they are pretty good but nothing compared to the fx clear lens that trispeedfd3s and I have. He looks like he is using something even higher than 6000k if you take a look at my pictures i am running 6000k ds2 and they don't seem so blue.

What good is the Halo ring if you have to drive around with your lights up for them to be seen but not have the headlights off? Or am I missing the functionality of that part of the selling point of the kit? do they come on when you have the parking lights on? just curious since they do have a nice cut off to them and easy looking install. Do you have to cut out the back of the housing?

I didn't hook up the halo ring... Just as you said, Tim, its pointless on pop ups and my car is already too ricey
So far, I'm very happy with the lights. Friend of mine drove the car at DGRR and he said positive things. Both kits uses the same housing and just the different light housings. Bulbs, yeah, I think there 'some' difference in quality I suppose, but not much to say it will make very noticeable difference between two. But this is definitely a reasonable price for better than stock lighting. I recommend both kits and decision point will be price and wait time.
