Since it is an "open to the public" place you surely can come and ride around for the weekend. The things you'll miss out on are all of the festivities going on ... game events, dinners, raffle prizes, t-shirts, discounts.... It'll be a lot like DGRR (only RX8's).

You would be suprised. I think it is about even on the generations. I have been on cruise for a bit so I havent been to many of the local meets but there are quite a few 1st gens out there. Saturdays at Jenros is always a good place to meet some. Or if they still allow it bass pro on your side of the river.
