Sorry to hear you won't be making it this year Steve!
Same here! Just means I will have to get down early next year to make up for it!!!! Saw the pics of Scotts brace that you got, it looks awesome!! What was it in your setup that prevented use of an OMP, the turbo manifold?

Thanks!
Yes, it's the manifold.
Just no space for both there.

OK, so what time are we meeting up? I believe the plan is meeting Thursday morning the 19th. Maybe 11am?

From Holly's post -

"Walmart Supercenter‎
3795 Buford Dr
Buford, GA 30519
Mill Creek Crossing‎
There's easy access to I-985N, everyone can stay together (no traffic light, nor turning left to get on the interstate). If anyone is interested, there are several place to eat right there; Ichiban - Asian buffet, Stevie B's - Pizza buffet, Golden Corral - buffet, Mexican Restaurant, Sony's Bar-BQ. Also many other places back toward the Mall of Georgia that you could eat, then meet up at this location. "

That meet up works for me, that's different than last year but I think that's where we met year before last. Last year we met at the (korean?) buffet place and Phil was locked in John's truck sick .

We're getting REALLY close! I only have a few minor things to do on the FD and get it waxed up nice.

I think the original plan was to meet at the same place we did last year, I however am up for just meeting at the wal-mart that has been sugested and eating there. Its farther north and I can avoid backtracking.

Well, unless my doctor absolutely forbids it, I will be at DGRR!! I have been shifting with my right hand for two weeks now, and so far so good. Now the only challenge I will face is finding a place to sleep, since I have to sleep in a recliner (to prevent me rolling over and rebreak the healing bone)..... Will prolly have to sleep in the car, since those are not normally found in hotels, lol

but either way,

I wont be joining the caravan though. My doctors appointment is at 9:15 Thursday morning, so I will be leaving straight from there and will get to the village around 7 I guess.

Most of the cabins have pull-out couches but the couch could probably be made into a recliner-type bed.

Where is it we met last year again? Also, what's the consensus? I kind of like the Wal-Mart meetup as there's more food options.

well it might be a bit late to change it from the original meeting spot this close to the date. I wont be meeting up either way since I wont be leaving Jacksonville, Fl till almost 11am, I am gonna go straight there and prolly meet up with the BAW crew to help with Chris Touch's Fd

OK, just to make it clear I'll copy/paste the directions and info from the beginning of the thread -

Caravan from ATL to NVNC

People from AL, MS, LA, FL, and GA will meet up and go up as a HUGE caravan.. I'm guessing 50+???

Date: Thursday April 19th, 2012.

Time: 11AM to 2:30PM - Depart at 2:30. We'll have 1 or 2 stops along the way so people could catch up and get gas or something..

Meeting place:
Sydney's Buffet - 2131 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, GA
Some people will eat here from 11 to 2PM

parking lot should hold 100+ cars around the shopping area..

Sydney's is a nice Asian buffet, really nice inside. And they have chicken feet.

OK, meet up there 11am, eat/hang out, then head up?

I'm down for a stop at that Wal-Mart on the way for restroom/last minute stuff/road beers. That's worked out great for previous years.

My buddy Phil Parker just HAD to peek in the pot labeled Chicken Feet, he thought that it was something else. Nope, that would be chicken feet, boss.

I'll be loadin' up the FD a WEEK from RIGHT NOW!
