Thanks Phoenix, I'm lucky to have understanding parents and a spot in the garage to work on my car and store my tools, it's gonna suck having to move out after I'm done with college, but oh well!

Update:

Ok, so today, I replaced the fuel hoses in the back of the car, and noticed that my tank looks really clean! That is great because it means I dont have to take it out and do the whole muratic acid thing with it like I thought I might. I hooked up the last few random nuts and bolts, installed the battery, changed rear differential fluid, and filled oil. The car cranked over really well, even through the battery was a little low on voltage.

I filled the fuel tank, and coolant, put the fuse back in, and tried to start it... no go, but it felt like it was at catching a bit. I dunno why I thought it would help, but I decided to adjust the clutch pedal, and after that, with the clutch all the way to the floor, it STARTED! Holy shit, I was SO exited!!!

The car idled at about 2000 rpm, and seemed to hesitate a bit when I revved it up, but I DID forget to hook up one of the grounds on the engine harness, so maybe that's why?

BTW: Damn, with an open header, a rotary is LOUD!!! I couldn't let the car warm up all the way, because it was like, 9:30 in a residential area, and my mom wanted me to stop making all that racket!

Anyway, I'm gonna hook up a muffer to the header tomorrow, bolt up that gound, and adjust some stuff to make it run better, as well as check the compression just for good measure.

At this point, all I need are brakes, and exhaust, and to weld up the holes in the floor that were left from rust removal...

After that, it's FUN TIME!

Well, hopefully I will!

I am hoping that my engine stays together right now and doesnt blow up or overheat. I have a few bugs to sort out right now, and some more parts to buy, but it's coming together nicely!

My temp exhaust, lol:

ok, so I just got:

steering wheel hub
replacement throttlebody
front rotors
rear rotors
Hawk HPS pads all around
MMR shifter bushing (the hard to find one)
Pass. side front caliper
Broadway 270mm wide view mirror
Stereo install kit and hookup.

Will mess with my car on saturday after work to see if the new TB will help it run better.

Peace.

Wow, havent updated this in a while!

Ok, so far the brake system is all done, I ordered the OMP delete kit from Banzai, and an EDIT: RTEK 1.0 chip. (I am getting the stage 2 instead) I also just bought an HKS Silent Hi-Power exhaust, and am looking for an RB presilencer.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=

I decided on the OMP delete to simplify the car a bit, and because I am going to be premixing regardless. I also ripped the intake back apart. I got some All-Data pages from school, and am going to redo some stuff a bit when the weather gets warmer.

Man, this is like, the most irratating part of the build... the car is almost done, yet there's so much shit left to do.

EDIT: I recently scored a set of S5 front turn signals btw, took me long enough, lol!

Here's a pic of the HKS exhaust, OMP blockoff kit, and my current daily driver!

also got some wheels for drift days:

Those are 16x8 Meshies I got off a friend for $75 a pair.

Cool shot of the car:

Update: Ok, I now scored an RTEK 2.0 N/A ECU. It should be here within the week!

I also found a great deal on this kit:

Koyo-R radiator
Samco hoses
Electric fan w/ relay and etc.
Aluminum Radiator panel

I can get all this for $350 shipped, and I already put down $50 as a deposit! Right now, I'm just happy as hell that I've been finding these killer deals on parts and what not. Shows that you really CAN if you poke around enough!

Sweet. I've been considering getting one for my car once it's roadworthy again, be sure to let us know how you like it.

Well, I havent driven it.... I did a shit job re-wrapping my wiring harness, so while I'm waiting on some money for a pda and hotlink cable, I'm gonna redo it. So far I removed all the emissions and other connectors I no longer need. I havent had much time to work on it lately....

anyway, once I get the car all done, I'm going to Ludwig Motorsports to get the car tuned.
