hmmm What is the foot bar for?

If only S5 mirrors were fold"able", they're a bit better looking IMHO.

Whether by pushing against or hooking your toes under it, I think it was for a passenger to maintain more stability while being rocked around.

Here's a pic of BigPimp'n '91 T2 I worked on. It has the foldable JDM mirrors installed. They are styled more like the non-aero S4 mirrors than anything.

Next time he brings the car by, I'll take a better pic (folded and not folded)

Well, I got a ride in Nop1stons FC today, and we were talking about the foldable mirrors... I think that the ones above look terrible, and it's just a novelty thing that is not really as cool as it seems. Besides, RE-Amemiya mirrors a narrower than the stock folded, hehe!

PS: Aluminum undertray? Tell me more!

As for the aluminum undertray you are talking about the one that went behind the engine cradle correct, if so I have seen it rarely and then it only seemed to be on the earlier 86 models, although if memory serves me correct the provisions for it were never removed so one could have been fitted to a later car by anyone so inclined.

So whats the advantage to having one of theses if they didnt feel the need to put them on later cars, and did all cars come with that plastic undertray under the radiator section?

Depending on time, aluminum is more expensive than plastic. There's other properties, but I imagine aluminum is a little more expensive now-a-days.

Reduces the drag coefficient. Probably by only .01 or .02 though.

yea dont really like the look of the foldable mirrors. more just like the thought of turing my car off and my mirrors folding in.
