thanks a lot, I'll check it today. one of my problems is the ecu harness. mice made a nest under the foot panel and chewed on the harness. I checked the ecu and the relay ports didn't read 12v,it was .5v. I'm replacing the ecu as well, just in case the wires shorted it out.

my se is on the road now. I washed it and took it for a drive tonight. on its maiden test drive I had a civic wanting to race. se 1 civic 0. oh, it was a newer si. anyway, it ran great. it needs some things done before its 100% ready for a spirited drive. here's some car wash pics.

i haven't updated in a while. i didn't post any pics of the car during the install of the s4 engine. i'll explain each pic as best i can about the swap.since i finished the swap,i've been working on getting the interior together and just driving the car.it's present state is,i need to replace the master cylinder and replace the coolant seals in the engine. i have a 12a trans in the car and let me say this ...... it runs like a raped ape.

this is the mods that needed to be done to the s4 intake.i had to block off the secondary injector ports with quicksteel.

the s4 engine ready for the se's pickup tube and pan.

the engine with the pan,s4 water pump housing ,pump etc. installed

throttle body with the cold start removed

pulsation dampner delete

engine installed with emissions deleted

the exhaust i made for my car

Nice coolant overflow bottle

The car looks good, glad you rescued it from rotting away!

i drove the car for a while last year and my fc engine decided to have a coolant seal leak. i tried a few things to remedy the slight leak, but they need replaced. i'll be pulling the engine and trans tomarrow. the trans is ready to go in and my new clutch is waiting. before i pull it,i'm going to check the compression on it before it's out. i'll be ordering my seal kit, underdrive pulley, thermo pellet and the 6port actuators from atkins.

i thought i'd do a comp test on the s4 engine in my car. bad news, front has 65psi on all three faces, rear has 70psi. that explains why it floods at start up if you don't do it a certain way, also the coolant leak is in the front. i'm now thinking about going in a different route. since i have the original se engine out and apart,i might rebuild it if the condition of the s4 engine isn't good. i'll be pulling it this week to check it.

I got a lot done yesterday, it's ready to be pulled today when I get home from work. I also have my fc trans put back together and cleaned.
