I ran the Excsta XS 245s for two seasons, they were pretty good. A big improvement over the Nitto555s I was running prior. My issues there were the lack of wet traction (there was none) and road noise. They also had a pretty narrow "sweet spot" during their life.

I'm back on NT05s this season and what a MAJOR difference in the performance. They are much better matched to my JIC suspension and turn-in is wonderful on them. Wet traction has yet to be determined but road manners are much better. Overall, I'm a Nitto guy for a while now...

I will say I did TRY to go RS3 but the size I needed was out of stock for a while and I needed to make an event....

Johnson, would you be a doll and rate the NT-01, NT-05, YOKO AD08, & the D1SS and why please?

I was overly impressed with my D1SS's at Limerock in the rain last week but they're flatspotted now and I need something new.

Considering the Pilot Sport Cups for street use and was hoping to get everyone's opinions. Dry use reviews that I've read have been outstanding. Just wondering if they can handle ANY road moisture whatsoever or would it be like driving on ET streets??

NT-01 is not in the same class, it's one class higher like the RA-1 class.

AD08 or Ventus RS-3 if you were to ask me. Research opinions in SCCA forums.

I'm just sad that Bridgestone RE-11's were not a step up to the RE-01R's in all areas, apparently the steering response is very dull with those tires.

Not too happy with the NT05's considering the life I got out of them. They stuck pretty well, and they're advertised as having optimal tread depth right out of the box so they shouldn't need much shaving.

The Advans though are wider than advertised, and last quite a bit longer

I have no experience with the Z1SS so I can't make the comparison between that and the other tires.

AD08's suck in the wet.....or maybe it was just the 135i I was driving.

Lotsa understeer, lotsa lift-off oversteer, lotsa power oversteer, very very twitchy throttle, just not fun.
