Good: most of the trip.

Bad: blown motor, blown passenger front wheel bearing, and the u-haul behind my mom's van on Sunday morning.

I already sourced a junkyard 12a. Disassembly starts soon.

All in all I had a blast and cant wait for next year!

SSSSOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The quickest way back was actually not down Skyway. We really were half way at that gas station. We were really fortunate that we went on though...

Right as we passed the Advance Auto (or was it Autozone) on 411 we got a call that Tray's multi-colored FD wore through the chassis harness on the dragon when someone had it out for a run. Fortunately we were on our way with cell reception at an auto parts store lol. A few crimps and cuts later and we brought it on home.

Another killer DGRR!

GOOD: Meeting a bunch more guys I've only seen through the Internet, the Skyway drive was great, Atlanta caravan was great. Getting picked to wear one of this year's "hate on Rich" T-shirts was great. The banquet was a BLAST, won a few good prizes and was cracking up the whole way through.

BAD: Lots of traffic on the Dragon, but I figured as such. With the Dragon half closed last year we had a unique opportunity, I did MANY full-bore blasts through last year. Wish I could have had more time to talk and meet more of you guys. The drive up through the rain Wednesday night sucked, but I discovered the magic touchless car wash that made it all better .

Here's to next year!

I have no voice from the SOCIAL! war with the Georgia crew. Worth it though.

Oh, and I didn't get to enjoy some beer with Titanium because he had to work his magic on too many broken 7's. Didn't get to be 'touched' by RedR1, and nobody brought me a glass sunroof.

Best: This year I did outdoor nature type stuff and it was a blast. Met some nice and welcoming people as always. Did some spirited driving through the Gap, and made my passenger puke

Worst: There's never enough time to do everything you want to do, we should make it a week long event! Like always, I never get to meet all the faces I would like to. Next year I will ride the Skyway! every year I say I'll do it and never do.

Good: Over 180 miles of the trip down I managed 30.1mpg with no thermo sensor and no O2 sensor. I don't think my car likes sensors. It spat the O2 sensor out completely first turn on the dragon. Talk about sounding like a tractor...

Great: The roads. The Dragon is incredible, but in a lot of ways I prefer 28. I did get to have a nice clean fast run down The Dragon Friday morning doing an S4 NA's best to keep up with Kevin Henderson lol. No cops, and only a few turns of a Triumph that got out of the way. Skyway is incredible, but there's nowhere to pull off for the best views. I prefer 441. That road is simply stunning, and there are pull offs near the peak that cover a huge swath of valley without trees getting in your way. It is simply breathtaking.

Greatest: The people. I less than three BAW cabin. The rest of you guys are awesome as well. People are so nice, they will sell you a set of RB sway bars for $5... Thanks again to the man in that beautiful Celica. Everyone I ran into from giving random folks rides to seeing people I met last year, to meeting new people from online were all very friendly.

Best part... Talking engine tech with Chuck Westbrook and Kyle Krutilek.

Then with Logan, Peter and Matt from Defined Autoworks.

But the highlight was when Holley introduced us to Jim Downing and Rick Engman at Road Atlanta.

We (Jonathan, Jack, Matt, and I) picked Rick's brain for an hour! What a wealth of info.

Part of his info has us designing a new engine cooling project to try and solve the number 1 and "root cause" for rotary failures.

Nice seeing old friends like Steven and his wife Anna, Dale, G, Rich, (and his Posse) and new guys Jose, Chris and Brian.

Worst Part.... Bottoming out on hard "G" outs on the Dragon and rolling a fender lip. What is the best street adjustable shock compromise?

I will definitely find you next year. I seem to have a knack for tracking that guy down.

He pulled in behind all the FC's in the gravel lot Saturday. He said he was only staying for a few hours though. I did catch his name, but I caught a lot of names I don't quite remember. He was gonna scrap the sway bars, but brought them by in case anyone wanted them first.

I think Evil Aviator may know who he is. The three of us were chatting back there for a bit.
