We can definitely make some changes to the design and make this happen as long as there are enough people interested.

We usually require 15 people and we will have to know exactly which kit you guys are most interested in so we can estimate a price. Is it the foresight kit you guys want us to begin with or something else?

I made a thread about it in the lounge. I'd rather get a Hood first but majority rules, we'll see in a few days.

No interest in the GK hood? Basically the only difference is it doesn't have a "turbo vent" which I never really cared for anyway. Its quite a bit cheaper (yen wise) to Panspeed hoods i've come across for sale in Japan.

I don't know if the opening is large enough. I've seen one-too-many non-functional hoods out there and you can see where the opening sits according to the radiator and fan on the Panspeed.

If you can get more pics that show the whole hood I might change my mind.

The cheaper it is the less we'll have to pay for a copy!!!

The GK hood would work for me since a turbo vent is kinda....nevermind.

And if it is initially cheaper, than I am even more for it!!

The quirk with most pictures of their hood (or cars rocking it) is of the older design where the vent was a little further back and it looks slightly more narrow.... maybe its the angle?

FYI these are all from Super Now's racing diary of their Time Attack FC.

Another thing is, if the opening isn't wide enough its because the end of the sloped section is below that inner "lip" of the front side of the vent. If JLK modded it by trimming away some of the slope so that its square the opening would more than likely be just as large.

damn, well I like the GK hood due to price (which should decrease initial GB price, right?). How is everyone else feeling about it?

I am not sure if I understanding which lip you are referring to but the slope of the front lip portion is actually there for a purpose. That slope is aerodynamically guiding more air flow into the opening. If we cut too much of it flat, there will be less air moving into the opening.

BTW, we are not very familiar with GK products, any more info on that brand?

Into the opening? You mean its helping pull air out of the opening. As the air moves over the lip it creates a low pressure zone above the hole which helps pull the hot air out of the engine bay.

I tried with ShineAuto Project on Rx7club. Couldn't get enough people behind it.

This would be sweet to see another vendor besides shine making cool bodykits and designs. Not that they do it bad, just i would like more options. FC's have TONS of options which i adore.
Yep, lotta dreamers. ShineAuto seems way to busy to pickup new products. JKL is coming to the rescue at the right time it seems.

That GK vent definitely looks smaller than the Pan Speed vent.

I'd love the vent to be as large as the radiator to allow for ducting to maximize the heat expulsion.

Woot woot for big words!
