Got a '73 240Z and sold a couple of my Beetles. Time to get some money and put it into the 7's.
What's anyone's opinion on stock versus aluminum radiator for a '85 GS? That's my next project and I'm trying to decide which one to go with. Any info, suggestions or experiences with an aluminum radiator would be appreciated.

I got my new aluminum radiator installed. I promptly broke the coolant level sensor. It was leaking around it. So I tried to tighten it and the top broke off.
Also installed a new Moog idler arm.
And my next project for the car should arrive this week. And I'm super stoked on this. I'll post some pics as soon as package arrives.

Here's what I was waiting on. Got some BBS Mahle wheels to go on the '85. They're 15x7 ET18. I'm going to strip the lips and polish them. Them have them cleared. Getting som ewheel studs and lugs for them. And I'll get some tires once I get them refinished. Looking forward to adding these to the car. Correct bolt pattern and all!

Nice! I got my studs and lug nuts for my old FB here---> http://shop.gearworkstireandwheel.com/main.sc

I am not sure if they have the studs anymore though, don't see them on the website. But it was inexpensive, and the studs came with whatever style lug nuts you needed.

Thanks! I checked that site out. I couldn't find the wheel studs either. But a very good resource to save. I ordered some studs Thursday and hopefully pick them up tomorrow. And luckily I was digging through some old parts I have yesterday. And found a box of lug nuts that should work great.
Yeah, I was super stoked to get these wheels. Thanks for the replies.

I've got wheel studs and found some lugs I didn't know I had that will work. I've been stripping the clear coat off the wheels and polishing them.
Hoping I can get them looking really good. They'll have some imperfections but nothing really bad. Overall I believe they'll look and perform great.

It's my friend Craig's shop. He started with Mazda in 1975. He had stopped for some years only doing a build occasionally. No he has opened a new shop and is back full time at rotary repair. He also added piston engines to the work load.

A couple of RX8's have just been completed and this current build is my friend's '93 Efini. My TII will be next.
If you need rotary engine work, repair, porting, etc. Contact Craig at Phantom Automotive at 423-605-7958

I finally bought tires and had them mounted today. I put them on the car this evening. I love them! It rides great and looks great. Coilovers are the next project. And some door weather stripping and window scrapers.
