The detail is in there, cant see it in the assembly, its recessed at the back to fit well over the boss on the center plate.
I am happy with the design, shit fits perfectly and looks good, there is detail stuff I will optimize but I think it will be gag factor good. If people are will to pay for quality I don't know? either way ........

Last pic....................
I optimized in axially by trimming off 10mm on the COP adapter interface, its a very tight package now, the adapters will be encased in rubber to insulate them and will trick them up in the locking mechanism to the coil and plug ends. This looks like a winner, Howard Coleman would surely run some kindergarden cop style maths and MS pain graphs showing why it is shit though LOL. Unlike him I have a running car and LOL. And fixed up the engine mounted bracket, so it fully supports the coils with zero load on the plugs.

DAAAAAAAMN. Looks REALLY good.
Depends on the price, but I've been known to drop some coin on some nice stuff, so I'd be willing to on this as well most likely. Now my only concern is my water injection pump that is mounted to the firewall and might not clear the coils on the rear housing. I forgot about that lol. |

Get off my lawn!!!

Looks sexy Peter!!! Any concerns of potential for heat transfer from the plugs to the coils?
Now i just want a dollar amount!!

Thanks boys, in regards to the 'heat transfer' question: ceramic is an insulator so the tip of the plug is as cool as it gets in the engine bay, will transfer very little to the coil itself.
Another great aspect of my mounting is they are in free air so the coils are cooled by passing draft through the engine bay = WINNING.

Looks good.
Will there be some kind of extended insulator boot down the plug body as part of of the block wrap? I was going to ask if you were going to print them in plastic and just have a crossover wire between contacts, but your latest post makes that a bit redundant. Interested to see what you do with encasement. |

The plug to post adaption will be made from Nylon with special internal buttons that are bridged via 'half nazi symbol' piece of spring steel I make for the job, its a real intricate piece of work but is the ideal solution to account for production variances in coils, plugs, rotor housings! etc............ I try to account for all of this in my design. Well I custom make all of the parts lol, the buttons are intricate and all modeled for function in the block, as you know good design is 5% inspiration 95% perspiration ! The whole system is true 'clip on' with one bolt hold each rotor assembly in place.

I'll be taking my car to CLudwig sometime early this next year hopefully. Will these be available by then? lol Assuming they will fit with my water inj pump and all.

Here is some detail on the connection (HALF NAZI) There is an internal button/ball, pre loaded with spring, that allows 'clip on function'... I told you it was an intricate design

Here is another view showing the ball/button engaging with the spark plug end, same happens on the coil end. Pre load on spring and movement all check and specified.
Installing a ball/button...

More optimization!
Fuck it would be impossible without this CAD though! Also never attempt to do this without some parts on hand LOL did the spring and fastener mount then went and checked some torx screws I have in stock they are 1.8mm with 3.48mm head and I cant even pick them in my hand LOL!!!! making the spring would have been a nightmare Revised ! Shit is starting to look good now, not far to go in design process then will start making the c-u-n-t-s ~!
