Well, I wasn't sure what you were saying...I haven't heard the best thing about Mazda remans so I wasn't sure if you were saying they were ticking timebombs or just missed it

Deal... we could be color opposites. You have a built red FD with a mostly stock silver FD and I have a built Silver FD and a mostly stock red one. I'll just say you have great taste

I am still thinking about it. She told me it was used to and from church and a little around town. Seats are way worn all over not just bolster. Maybe the sun baked it. I had the body shop guy look at it and he said it had been worked on both sides now. (he was getting ready to fix the passenger side were it was bumped. The car would need new interior, painted, and engine bay cleaned up (just dirty) except I did notice oil around the TB guessing she is on original turbos now blowing oil... I guess I will drive it then decide. If I did not have the Porsche, FD and my truck I would jump on it.

True, I have always prefered red or silver. Not that montego or black or even white are bad.....

Now that I think about it. Did they offer leather seats in the base? Maybe an option? Cause this is a base with leather..

Yes it was an option, I have had several bases with leather seats.

well I am going to go drive it and see how it feels. I think the turbos are original and are leaking oil, hence the oil build up around the TB. I really was only going to buy it to resale but not sure I have the time to put in it..

Yeah bases came with leather, I happen to have one in my garage .

I can only hope i'm cool enough to drive a 2 seater sports car around at 80.

Hey, Old girls just want to have fun too you know. I'm almost 50 and have an FD.

If the OP doesn't buy it, maybe I'll buy it for my 74 year old mom. The only problem is that it would be tough to put her kayak on the roof and the FD is lousy in the snow for when she goes snowshoeing.

I still can't believe you got rid of the last one... It was nearing completion, wasn't it?
