I need to get in on this. I just don't want to have to join NASA or SCCA considering I doubt I'd ever go to one of their track/auto-x's.

I dunno , you have to join a sanctioned race group to be eligible then.

According to what is posted, you shouldn't have to join a group to get the benefits, it says: "You will need race results in your Mazda from within the past 12 months". It doesn't say anywhere in there that you have to join anyone. Now whatever else is on the website may say more so it could be in there.

True if you are building a car, but I was talking about just the guys that are already running that aren't a member of a club.

For autox, you don't have to be a member of SCCA to run. Well, the SCCA currently has a members only policy, but will sell anyone a "Weekend Membership" so they can run.
As many other autox clubs also allow non-members to run, all you need are results from at least 2 events, showing the club name, date of the event, and drivers name along with car make/model (this part needs to be highlighted/underlined). Nearly all clubs that hold autox events post results with the required info, so if you have run at least 2 events in the last 12 months, you shouldn't have any problems. The requirements are different if you are still building a racecar, since most autox cars are also daily drivers. The racecar building requirements are more geared towards full race cars, which is why they want the name of the sanctioning body, and proof of membership. This aspect does not normally apply to an autox racer, which is what this section is actually for. |

If I remember correctly, I had to email them a copy of my SCCA membership card. Then, you either had to send them 2 race results or pictures of the car you are "building" to race. It can be a daily driver. I think I listed Solo II as my primary venue.

Yeah I agree it seemed like they had more aftermarket stuff a few years ago before the site changed. I just use it now to buy stock replacement stuff for the most part.

Their Oil cooler upgrades are gone along with a bunch of competition parts. I still have to check out the rest of the catalog though. Interior pieces are kinda cheap but I was looking for other parts. I might have to hit up Superior HP for some performance/upgrade parts.

There just ain't much available for RX7's anymore. Especially when you have an FB. At least they still have engine parts.
