Jess,

Sounds good. Garret from Daytona is going to hook up with us in Jax and will be driving on up also. We may leave 30 minutes earlier than anticipated but would still arrive in Asheville during the 2:30 - 3:30 timeframe.

I'll call you guys tomorrow or Wednesday to introduce myself. So you've named your FD "Jack"?

Haha sorry no, Mike and I will be in a Red RX-8. We own two of them but only bring one.

Jack is a guy from Richmond that drives a black FD that were meeting along the way.

I'll hopefully be in a white FD. Going to check it out tomorrow and make the purchase if everything is right. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smooth, weather is not looking great for the test drive.

Jess is probably thinking black since the FD I had at Deals Gap the past 2 years was montego blue.

I thought "Jack" was a pretty weird name for an FD My wife names all of our cars but the RX7 is just the RX7.

RX7 is being pretty kind of her to call it after all the years of agony with it.

You don't want to know what we call Mike's 8 after having to replace the motor and trans this past year. lol

Sorry for the mix up, I have poor memory these days.
So far it's Jack, DarthRotary and I meeting in Richmond at 7 am. Then were meeting the rest of the others around 2:30-3:30 pm in Asheville NC.

Is there anyone I'm leaving out?

Garrett from Daytona Beach is meeting up with me and my father-in-law tomorrow morning and we're leaving Jax FL which should put us in Asheville right at 2:30 - 3:30 pm.

The Hooters you want to meet at is on Kenilworth Road off of 240 right? If so, that's on the east side of Asheville and a bit out of the way as we are heading west on 40 in the opposite direction. We can certainly do this no problem but can I recommend the Carcker Barrel on 5 Crowell Rd? It's right off of I-40 on Haywood/Patton Street or Highway 19-23-74, just to the west of the intersection of I-40 and I-26. It's the first exit I believe after you get on I-40W, the direction we need to head for DGRR.

Anyway, we can do Hooter's if it's set but thought I'd throw this out to save some time. Let me know and we'll see you tomorrow!

FYI - my wife and I have property in Asheville (we're building a "green" home in the mountains) so I know the city pretty well so if you'd rather go to a funky place for lunch, a bunch of options exist.

No problem we can switch to the Cracker Barrel to help out. I came up with the address: 5 Crowell Rd, Asheville, NC‎ is this the same one your talking about?

Yes, that's the one. Have never eaten there, but it's convenient right off of I40. You'll take the 240 loop to I40W. Stay in the right hand lane and I believe it is the first exit. You'll loop around and turn left. Should be immediately on the left.

We've picked up another caravan person (Savannah Dan RX3) so there will be three of us.

See you tomorrow!
