do you know of any where that i can find a good diagram of an MKII rear end. or even better its basic concept in an rx7? do you know if the toyota axle is wider than the mazda one. i would like if it was. i have heard that the FC sub frame is a little wider. i would like to make the car 4" to 6" wider. my guess is that if i do that i will need to move the strut mounts out a little. thanks

i have something in mind for a wide body like the white rx with the black flares in you favorite first gen thread. the one on the first page. just a bit higher and cut the fender body skin on the stock fenders to get the most out of the flares with good suspension travel.

if you take the manifold off, you will see two coolant passages leaving the engine to enter the manifold. these have o-rings to seal off the coolant. The intake gasket will have two holes to allow for this. But if the manifold has ever been removed or even from just age, the o rings can go bad, dry rot or get pinched on re installation. Which will allow coolant to enter the intake. Happened on mine.

Now i am not gaurenteeing that your engine is not fooked. But its worth looking into.

can the new orings be reused? i would like to get the car going but someone has offered to sell my a striped carb and intake. i still dont want to keep this motor but till i have more money i would like to do a few things to the car. the other thing that i would like to do is ditch the after burn chamber. i am thinking about making my own header. do you have any advice on tube length or will i get some more power just from loosing the chamber. thanks
