For that price buy new. If you want I'll give ya the name of the guy I us in PA, he charges $25/injector. At the price you're paying, I'd pay a wee bit more and buy 4 new ID injectors. But I love those things/

I've used a few injector clean & refurb shops over the years, $25 is about the average I've been paying for the standard clean, refurb & test job -- i.e., injector comes back with same flow rating they were originally designed for, so 550s come back as "like new" & test verified 550's. Does this PA guy tweak the injectors on his refurb jobs to turn my original Mazda (Nippon Denso) 550s into "like new" 720's? Didn't know that was possible? If it is, please shoot me his contact info, that would save me some coin!

I realized the guy on the other forum is charging a pretty steep middle-man mark-up for getting those core Bosch injectors serviced & shipped out, but then again I was under the impression you had to start with 720cc core injectors to refurb, which I don't have.

Best price I've found anywhere!

I'm confused.... I thought you said you were paying $215 to have 4 injectors serviced. I'm saying that's high. As you admitted, $25/injector is average. It's never a good idea to try to modify an injector. I wouldn't take a 550cc and try to make it a 720 by doing anything other than upping the fuel pressure. I would just buy new. If you don't want to spring for the ID's than everything else is pretty much the same as long as you stay within name brands. Hell, you could even get some drop in injectors from Marren Motorsports... although I will NEVER rec him again.

I've still got to get you that Denso number, sorry.

Ok, I was reading too much into what you said and misunderstood. I thought this PA shop was one that tweaks injectors on refurb to flow differently. Don't remember where, but I recall reading that this can be done with some some injector brands by substitution of some of the replaceable internal parts, which would be a steal at $25 each.
