^^^Indeed, 10.5 +43 SSR comps fit with no modifications and 275 tires all around, what wheels does your friend have???

Also after doing much reading, 5" backspace is the maximum for the FB barely clearing everything inside, with 4.75" being a safer number and allowing for more tire.

Looking at Kentetsu's ride, particularly this pic:

I think you can stuff 8" wide wheels under the fenders without them sticking out, by using 4.75"-5.0" of backspace or an offset between +6(for 4.75") and +12(for 5"). Experts please chime in and correct me if I'm wrong.

I was bored today and photoshopped a picture of a member of the other board and I would like my end result to look more or less like this, different wheels and a few other things, but stance wise, this is my goal:

I will try to get a measurement of how much room I've got between the tire and the spring when I get home.

Also, to give you an idea of how much room for adjustment I have if I ever wanted to lower the car further, here's a shot of the coilover. This is at the height I've been running for the last year, which you already know is pretty low. So, judging by the picture, I could damn near set the car down on the frame rails.

You guys were pretty quick through there. I didn't get nearly as bored as when I would get stuck behind the RX8s.

Hmmm... Thanks for the heads up. I may get this and pair it with the re-speed rear inserts. I wish i seen this before buying my rb springs.

Looks like there's lots of room for lowering the front, but what about the rear???

Almost exactly the same, within a millimeter or so.

To be honest I'm not sure anymore. I've been told it was a dealer-option on 79's as part of an IMSA appearance package. I've also been told it was a offered by some long defunct aftermarket manufacturer. I first saw one in '02 at a Mazda meet and fell in love. Ran across a guy at Rotary Revolution '05 who had converted to a widebody kit who sold me the lip for $30 cash. I converted from -SE bumpers to SA just to use it. One of these days mine will look this good.

khronus79- Im aiming for the same look as you, ended up finding these fourms when searching for pics on Google and ran across your p-shop.

anyway I plan on running 15x8 in the ft and 15x9 or 10 in the rear. I dont plan on overly lowering the car, as I plan on runing 13x8's with ace rubber on track days, and dont want to screw up the handling to much, plus I plan on makeing my on arch kit and lip/side skirt kit. I realy like the look of Yuta Akaishi Shakotan S30 Datsun 240Z and meny of the other apocalyptic styled cars and thats the look im going for... lots of rivits and home brew mods.

seen this car yet?

here is mine you can see my home made lip, and sweet paint job winters coming here in vt, so the garage season begins. hope to have a update for you by spring.

best of luck, seeing that we are kinda looking for the same info, don't be afraid to pm me with questions.

so heres a a quick pic of my new rims i had fitted on my 84 GSL-SE. there 15x8 inch wide with 0 off set running 205-50-15 up front and some junkyard rear 215-50-15. on my 84 GSL-SE

I am running stock suspension and the front tires stick out the finders, so its soo soft the when i hit the brakes or turn a corner they scrape the tires way to much. I am waiting for my re-speed coilovers to come in to get back on. But no rubbing on suspension and the rear can use way more meat/fatter rim. hope this helps

If your main goal is stance and wheel fitment...

Mini tub the wheel areas and get mini-coilovers closer to the center on the rear end. Like a custom 4-link setup. Then you can run just about whatever wheel you want, and have it lay frame like a mini-truck...lol

good luck with that haha, maybe with 14s rubber band tires and a really stiff suspension. i know theres a couple things in the front that might hit.

Also think someone said run 8 wides with just a low offset ive got 15 x8 zero offset and the flares are flush in the front and just a little sunk in in the rear. I know 15x7 with a 22 offset are in the stock location so maybe like a 12 offset would work, but i know 8s wont fit in stock fenders with zero offset or even really low offset for that matter
