I am not blaming the forum. Just the people who are on it. And was that the only thing you managed to read? This is for the fact the guy told me that he drove the car and it was fine when he parked it and did not have a battery to turn the motor over. So I trusted him get it home spend some time on the car thinking I would have something to drive and find out that the front rotor had eaten an apex seal so now I am looking at an additional 1000-1500 bucks to get a car running.

Nope, just didn't want to start anything until Dazed chimed in.
But it looks like you got screwed. If it ate a rotor and housing, then it was clearly blown before being 'parked'. I don't know what you ended up paying, but anything over $500 for a blown GTU is too much. You are due a refund. And sorry, but not having a battery to turn it over is no excuse. Take the battery out of your car, his car, or jump it to test it. I think he just didn't want you to test it because he knew something was wrong. So, he either needs to take the car back and refund you (plus gas $$$ money if he is stand up) or refund you some $$$ to put towards a rebuild. I would PM an Admin or Moderator about the issue.

I ended up paying a grand for it since supposedly all it needed was the manifold put back on. I PM him Wednesday he has bin online since then and no response. So yeah I am little bit PO about it. I pulled the motor out of the car and tore it apart yesterday the front rotor has gouges all in it since it managed to chew up half of an apex seal there are chunks of it stuck in the housing it self.

Ouch. Yeah, that shit doesn't just 'happen'.
Hope it gets resolved, and I hope he does the right thing.

Yeah. And form the looks of things the engine has not bin run in a while and the amount of carbon in the rear housing was unreal. I have torn down a few motors in my time and never seen it that bad. the rear apex seals were actually sticking and there was a layer of carbon all the way around the rear rotor housing. I had to pry the rear seals out of the grooves due to the amount of carbon on them. I will take some pictures of the damage in a bit and post them up here.
