Rolex Series Teams at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Grand-Am Road Racing sanctioned a test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday September 3rd. Nine teams in the Daytona Prototype and Acxiom GT classes of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 participated in this historic event.
The teams tested on the 2.534-mile Formula One circuit from 10 a.m. to noon, and then switched to the 2.621-mile MotoGP configuration from 1 to 3 p.m. "I can't wait to drive across those bricks at top speed," said Tremblay, GT winner of the 2008 Rolex 24 At Daytona. "We're very honored to participate. As a sports car racer, I never thought that I could get to actually go out and test at Indy." Full Article
