Default EESCC AutoX - Eugene Oregon

I've wanted to attend and autox in Eugene for some time, and finally made it on the last weekend in May.

There were 2 events, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

There were some fast cars there, and some excellent drivers.

One Solstice driver in particular was very fast, he had me by 1.5 seconds on Sunday.

In my own defense, tight courses aren't all that great for an FD with a stock rear end. The course on Sunday required me to shift to 1st three times in each run.

Managed 12th overall on Saturday out of 129 cars and 9th on Sunday out of 138 cars.

What brought particular pleasure was beating the STI's and Corvettes. I've been looking forward to that for awhile.

I'm still learning to drive this car.

Nice job Jared! Are you going to be at the SCCA in Packwood on the 13/14th?

Thanks Michael.

I'm planning to be there, not sure about both days however.

Sunday for sure.

There are 2 lots - Valley River Mall and the Coke Bottling plant.

This was at Valley river.

Both lots are kind of on the small side, but the course was nicely setup.
The VR lot was very smooth. I've seen the Coke lot, but have not driven on it.

Sunday was a long course, with fast times being >= 54 seconds.

It was a nice club. They follow SCCA rules as far as classsing, though I don't think there is SCCA affiliation.

They are very organized, it was a well run event.

There were only 4 runs - they get quite a large number of cars, 129 on Saturday and 135 on Sunday. But with the longish runs that was OK.

It was worth the trip for me.

This is also the group that runs the Larison Rock Hillclimb.

They also do an autox on the Willamette Pass, where they get a big lot to run in.
