engine flooding
I have a 88 rx7 convertable. 13-b engine. I had a plugged catalytic converter. The engine would not start just kept flooking out. Removed the converter and tried to start engine. Engine was flooded, removed injector fuse and cranked engine for 10 seconds 3-4 times. Engine started and ran good. Thought I was home free, restarted right away. Let engine cool down for a few hours. When I tried to start again it would flood out. I put Sea-foam injecter cleaner in tank, I had drained the tank and put in fresh gas. Tried 4-5 times with the purgeing again. It finally started and I ran it for about 2 hours. Shut it off and tried again to start it and it started right away. I waited 3 hours and tried again to start it and it flooded out again. Any help out there, please. buddyboy555

Try some new sparkplugs. That much fuel tends to foul them. What heat range are you running?

Sounds like you would benefit from having the injectors serviced and cleaned rather than using seafoam. http://injector-rehab.com/ It is a very common problem usually fixed with injector service.

Flooding engine
Hi, thanks for the come back. Fuel filter is new, plugs are new, engine runs perfect, idles perfect, starts hot but floods out when cool. Have to pull injector fuse and crand engine over severas different times before it will start, then runs fine. Thanks in advance. buddyboy555
