Default Stock Hitachi HT-182S turbo rebuild - G-Pop rebuild kit

I was surprised to find very little options in terms of rebuild kits for our stock turbos.
There used to be lots of options a few years ago as the stock Hitachi is based on a Garrett T3 / T04 design.
The only catch is that you have to get the *carbon seal* option.

This is especially important nowadays, as rebuilders dont like to touch these things as they are 20 - 30 years old!
I even contacted BNR (Supercars), and they did not want to touch mines.
Why do I insist on rebuilding mines?
I have a special hybrid with a T04E 60-trim compressor and a clipped turbine wheel.

If you do a Google search, G-Pop usually pops up on the top of the list.
For about $100US, it's reasonable.
For the most part, it"s pretty complete.
It includes a stagger-gap turbine compression ring which used to be an expensive option before - nice.
There's also extra parts so don't be alarmed after you are done.

Some cavaets...
* The 6 bolts for the turbine housing are slightly longer - this can be a pain cause crud and rust usually fills the threads; there are two sets - one standard and one metric - obviously we use the metric set.
* There are no replacements for the compressor housing bolts - keep your originals, as the bolts they supply do not fit; 4 are short and 2 are longer for the waste gate (bracket).
