Wanted: 86-91 Rear Bumper Support Brackets
I need both brackets that hold the rear bumper support to the body. The OEM P/N's are FB01-50-280 and FB01-50-290 (see page 31 here). I've had the parts on order from Mazda for over a month now and nothing. I don't care if there's rust but they need to be structurally sound and not have any broken/missing studs or sheared bolts.

Over two months with new parts on order and still nothing. At least one parts warehouse I've asked has stated these parts are NLA from Mazda. I really need to find a set of these or I'm left with two options: (1) run no rear bumper support or (2) get something custom made.
No one has these? I don't care if parts are rusted as long as they're intact. |

I've confirmed P/N's FB01-50-280 and FB01-50-290 are NLA from Mazda, which I find strange since I consider these to be "collision parts." Hopefully no one gets left SOL after a rear-end collision. So the only options are used or custom. Fortunately MazMart had a pair so I'll finally be able to re-mount the rear bumper core.
I suppose this can be closed now. |

Parts are definitely going to keep getting harder to find. If it had been a domestic vehicle you would have been SOL with the factory option 15 years ago.
