Here's the latest mods. I used weatherstrip on the box and added a little scoop to the feed for the box.

I have to disagree somewhat with the illustration mainly in the rear bumper area. .

For example if one was to have shitty taillight seals, wouldn't exhaust pull into the car like any other vehicle. Like mine does LOL

It's pulls it in from the side rather than the rear...

That makes a difference but I'm trying to remember if Robert's 7 had a spoiler, he had bad exhaust flow in his car too.

I learned a couple things today, mind blown about where the high and low volume areas are contrary to where I believed they were.

Latest mods for fighting heat with hopes of reducing intake air temps.

With extra wrap I had laying around, I wrapped exposed tubing.

Installed a heat shield for the intake manifold.

I haven't tested for any change but really at this point I'm not worried about it as I've already seen all the results I need to see.

This weekend I plan to install a new clutch and a rebuilt TII transmission

Years ago I was sold on the Centerforce Dual Friction clutches, I had this clutch in both my 7 and 6th gen Celica. Years pass and I find I really don't care for it as much as I thought I did, time for improvement.

EXEDY Racing Stage 2 (10952A)

Before fuel injection and no rev limiter, I stupidly reved the piss out of my 7. . Ignoring all safety concerns, I drove like this for years and killed about 3 transmissions in the process. I admit it was dumb and because transmissions don't grow on trees, I now have a rev limiter (and luckily still have feet/legs)

Here's an old video

Because of that kind of abuse, I was on my second TII trans. The first was had a seized fifth/reverse clutch hub as well as broken synchros. The second one that is in the car now is just bad synchros (I hope). I plan to rebuilt this one since it's a JDM S5 TII.

Until then, I'll be rocking this rebuilt S4 TII and keeping it as a good back-up for me or for anyone else.

I was more concerned about the 7 ft flames that were coming out from under the car when we took that video.

Since I'm beyond the EFI phase and have shared more, can a mod update the thread title to: "FC Zach's '87 Sport"?

Never liked the centerforces. Exploded one on the dyno, had an ITS car kill one in one day, and in my FC it lasted a year n/a.... do GOOD CHOICE!

Well, this one has served me well because that video is every indication of how I drove the car. I've had this clutch for about 10 years, definitely time for something new.
