Default need help to price old 13 B and trans

Have a 13 B engine (non-turbo) and a 5 speed trans from an old ('75) Mazda pick- up that I would like to sell. Engine smokes but ran fine and has a few new parts ex: alternator, ignition wires, plugs etc. Transmission worked fine. Problem is that I have no idea what to ask for it. Any ideas welcomed

Very hard to say. Depends on the buyer. A possibly good core for a rebuild and a serviceable 5 speed, I'd guess anywhere from 200 to 600 would be the range you're looking at, most likely the low end of that, as buying a used rotary is always a big gamble. Not many people need the REPU stuff so finding a buyer isn't going to be that easy. Location also plays into it, as shipping on that would add quite a bit to the expense for the buyer.

If you are willing to hold on to it for a while you can ask more and wait for the right buyer to come along. If you need to sell relatively quickly start toward the lower end and advertise it in the REPU forums.

An S5 Turbo Trans is $250 shipped.

I would guess you will have a hard time finding anyone who even wants it let alone wants to pay for the shipping

Someone will want it. The problem is that you have to find someone doing a restoration on an REPU. Most are already modifying them and will use the modern stuff first, but a restoration will need the original parts.

Yeah I sat on old Top mount starter 12a's and tranny's forever. Just scrapped 3 12a trans 2 12a's and an N/A 13b and N/A Trans. I advertised them for over a year. Most likely still an Ad for them all on the Club.

You know i just happen to buy recently a 77 repu that has 12a in it.
Wouldn't mind possibly picking up that motor from you as a spare if your close enough. Where are you located?
