What Diff and Transmission Fluid for Racing
Again, this is LeMons endurance racing. What viscosity, type and brand do you recommend for racing a 1984 RX7 GSL-SE in the transmission and differential, please check all that apply in the poll, and/or post a reply if you race or autocross.
For type I mean GL4, GL5, synthetic, non-synthetic, or blend You guys have been a tremendous help in my Rotary education thus far, thanks. Last edited by magpiemini; 05-02-2012 at 11:35 AM.. |

Since nobody replied I will give my non racing experince advice.
For the diff use Amsoil Sever Gear 75W-110 or 75W-140. I use their 75W-110 because I live in Houston and make about 400 whp. Morepower and heat requires a heavier oil unless you add oil coolers and can keep the oil temps down. Same applies to the trans. http://ww2.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/gear-lube/ For the trans Red Line 75W90NS or Pettit's Revomax Powerblend semi-syn 75W90. |

I've always used Mystik jt-7 80w90. This stuff is aboslutely the best drivetrain fluid i've ever used.
