s5 hybrid questions
I'm thinking about sending my s5 core in what exactly is done during the upgrade besides internals? Cleaning? speacial hotside coating? any broken bolts replaced?
Do you port the wastegates of the s5 turbos? If so how big? Can the back plate be milled for further WG travel?

I can port them a lot. I don't suggest a lot of porting if you are wanting to run 15 psi or more. The bigger the port, the more the boost wants to fall off at the top. I can mill the cover for further extension if you want it. A rebuild and upgrade is all cleaned up and fully inspected before used. Only parts remanufactured in the center housing rotating assembly of the stage 2-3 is the shaft and the bearing housing. The rest is upgraded and replaced. The stage 4 the whole CHRA is new. If you have broken bolts, I can handle removing them. Bryan@BNR 205 640 1193 |
