20b Primary Injector O-ring Sizes?
I probably should have asked over here first, as my thread over 'there' isn't getting any answers. I pulled the primaries out of my 20b rail last night in preparation for testing them on my newly constructed flow bench and ran into a few problems.
Namely, I'm an idiot and threw them into a bucket of carb cleaner before removing the o-rings. Now they're broken / swollen, duh. Does anyone have the actual dimensions of all 3 o-rings (cross section and ID/OD), or can make some measurements for me? Mazda wants +$100 for 3 upper and 3 lower, and can't even find the middle. |

Measured in mm,
Top Oring 18.00 I.D. , 22.63 O.D. 2.33(+/-)dia/cross section. Middle Oring 7.50 I.D. , 14.50 O.D. , 3.49dia/cross section. Bottom Oring = 8.00 I.D. , 11.00 O.D. , 1.49dia/cross section. Mind you these are used but sealed well when I pulled them. Last edited by alvaspeed; 10-08-2011 at 03:26 AM.. Reason: Spelling |

I just wanted to follow up on this thread with the o-rings I actually used.
I tried a 18.0mm ID 2.5mm CS NBR o-ring on the top slot and it looked too loose. I actually picked up a kit (3 of the same kit actually =( ) from oriley's that had a bunch, all viton, just to try. The following ended up sealing during my bench testing at stock rail pressure: Top: 17.1mm ID, 2.6mm CS Middle: 7.5mm ID, 3.5mm CS Bottom: 7.6mm ID, 1.6mm CS Again, thanks for your help. |

No prob.
BTW do you clean and refurbish these injectors. I had one stick on me and would really like toget them refurbished and maybe even enlarged if possible? ALso could you give me a link or part number info to the kit from O-reily's? |
