My personal fd for sale
Year: 1993
Make: Mazda Model: RX-7 Price: $11000 Mileage: 96000 Color: Montego Blue Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing Location (US State/Canada/Int): TN $11,000.00 Firm Running in Current Condition $7,500.00 as a roller with Enkei's, Feed Hood, Tein Coilovers, roll bar and R1 seats included! Selling my personal FD to make room for a more dedicated FD drag car. '93 Montego Blue(Paint is about 2 years old), Base Model, black interior with R1 seats, Clear Title, 96kmiles, pretty heavily modded. Start with the back story of when I bought the car. I purchased the car as a '93 MB automatic. I bought the car site unseen from somewhere in either NC or SC. I converted teh car to 5 speed retaining all the automatic harnesses and I kept the 3.90 rear end. The clutch slave, clutch master and all lines were brand new and only have roughly 4,000 miles on them. The paint was faded(I was unaware of this) so I had the car repainted. It is a base coat/clear coat paint job but no where near "Show Quality" car looks great dont get me wrong but this isnt a $5k paint job. Mods: Feed Hood Painted to Match 17x8F and 17x9.5 Rear Enkei RS 2piece wheels Tein Super Street Coilovers Knock Off Greddy 2 Row FMIC Apexi Power FC and Commander Power FC commander Holder AEM Water/Meth Kit HKS Twin Power Ignition 4 Point Bolt in Roll Cage(unsure of name brand but it is fd specific) R1 Seats Pettit Intake Filters Large Street Port RA 2mm Super Seals 3" HKS downpipe 3" resonated Borla Midpipe Greddy SP(Super Quiet) Exedy Stage 2 Clutch ACT 9.5lb flywheel and counterweight Mazdaspeed Short Shifter Momo Competition Steering Wheel Upgraded Aluminum Radiator Supra Fuel Pump Dual R1 oil coolers AST Delete Real 99 Spec Tail Lights Real Non-Sequential Conversion Emission Deleted PS and AC removed R1 Front Lip Custom Spark Plug Wires Polished UIM and TB Polished Alternator Greddy Pullies Powder Coated LIM, Y-pipe and Secondary intake tube Thats all I can think of but I am sure there is more I am not remembering. Maintenance etc- New Fuel Rail Insulators New Throttle Body O-ring New Clutch Slave Cylinder New Clutch Master Cylinder New CLutch Lines New Diff Bushings Exterior- The whole car was repainted 2 years ago, however the hood and head light covers were painted about 3 months ago and still need wet sanded. Paint looks good on hood just has "orange peel". A few minor dings and small scratches on the car but nothing major. I sold the front bumper to a customer to fix his car so the FB on the car is not the one that was repainted. Still matches but has scome scratches and small dents from a front license plate. I will post detailed pics later. The wheels look great from 10 feet but are not perfect. The two rears both have bends in the lips but doesnt affect the ride(bought them this way). I would suggest having them refinished. Tires are 255s in the rear and 225 up front, fronts have about 70% tread left and the rears about 40%. Interior- Interior is in overall good shape. Door panels are in great shape and the passenger side handle IS NOT broken. Steering wheel looks great and is near mint. Most of the rear interior is removed(bins, c-pillars and rear plastics). Everything from seats forward is there. The dash is mint and even the vents by the windows arent cracked. Engine- I want to explain as clearly as possible on this, so please read. The engine runs great 97psi on front and 93psi on the rear tested about a week ago. However, this being my personal car, I built the engine with some parts I wouldnt use in a customer's car. The rotors had dents and small apex seal damage and the housings had apex seal damage near the exhaust ports. This engine has taken a beating and keeps on going and loving it, I just want to be upfront. The car actually made 350rwhp on 14lbs on pump gas and water/meth. Engine has a large streetport on the intakes and small porting on the housings. 2mm Rotary Aviation Super Seals, New Apex Seal Springs, New Corner Seal Springs, New corner seal rubber inserts, New side seal springs, New inner and outer coolant seals, new viton oil control rings, atkins thermal pellet, new front and rear main seals, rebuilt oil pump, polished front cover and all internal o-rings replaced. Once again, this engine has been great for me but its definitely not a high end build by any stretch of the imagination. I dont wont someone to tear it down expecting to have perfect rotors and housings and be dissapointed. Clarify once again, I will be drag racing the car this Friday so not afraid to beat on it at all. I dont want someone tearing it down and thinking I build junk engines. Issues- Typical idle issues with a street port fd and Power FC, idles fine with AC button off but with it on it hunts for about 5 seconds before settling. Oil pan leak, not horrendous but has gotten worse with time, Never wired in reverse lights with Auto/Manual swap, never wired in clutch switch, smoke for about 5 seconds on startup but clears up and doesnt smoke under boost, driving side running light doesnt work and I have never tracked the issue, some missing interior pieces, and lastly very slight rear suspension noise which is common. I will post more detailed pics later and I am sure more info. This car is not perfect by no means, but it is nicer than most for the price and mods, probably the nicest. Ive got some Slotted new front rotors I will throw in and a MB R1 rear spoiler if the buyer wants. The brakes are probably what needs addressed next. Let me know if you have any questions and better pics will come in the coming days. I am in no hurry to sell and I will be driving the car until it sells. David 865-385-5622
