Exclamation 2004 Mazda RX-8 Stupid Cheap!!!

Year: 2004
Make: Mazda
Model: RX-8
Price: $6000
Mileage: 197000
Color: Brilliant Black
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State/Prov): TN
PRICE IS FIRM at $6000

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Title is in hand.

Selling my high mileage RX-8. I picked up this car from eBay, it was a basket case. Since ownership I have replaced:
-5000 miles on Kuhmo SPT's
-OEM coils
-Racing Beat wires
-OEM plugs
-all filters, flushed coolant, trans, differential
-battery is a new Optima Red Top 1000cca
-New clutch pedal assembly (welded it to prevent another break)
-all black steering wheel (original was very worn)
-Axxess iPod kit
-new tailight assembly

I just cleaned the TB and MAF.

It is loaded, all options except for the appearance package. Navigation, heated seats, Bose, you name it. 2 tone black and tan leather. I have been using the Valet key, that is all I got with it. I do have a pair of flip keys, one which is cut and programmed, one that is still blank.

There is a chip in the windshield that I can take care of before sale. Also, it will have new ceramic pads and rotors all around.

FULL DISCLOSURE:
-The Carfax and Autocheck are clean. However I had a friend inspect it and he thinks the hood and left fender were replaced or repainted at some point in time.
-The engine in it is believed to be replaced at around 35000 miles. No other documentation for another engine, or a rebuild can be found. I believe it is losing a coolant seal. I was getting coolant in the front housing when it would sit for a few days. I used Bar's Ceramic Head Gasket repair (I blocked off the heater core and TB) and it has been fine ever since. No issues, no coolant loss, even in 100+ degree weather.
-There is a dent on the driver side C-pillar, and on the passenger side wheel arch. Neither are very bad, and I never bothered to fix them.
-The airbag cover on the passenger side is cracked. Heat+sun=bad.
-The CEL for the Secondary Air Injection Solenoid just popped up. Not a big deal.
-Both sun visors are crap and I have removed them (still have them though)

Otherwise, she is a clean car. I love driving it, but I miss my old RX-7's. I am selling this just to add to my funds for whenever the 'next' RX model comes out.

I've seen it in person and it's a great car at the price and mileage.

DJ: Don't forget to add the cooling mod.

Thanks Robert!

Lol, yeah. It has the 'cooling mod' which is slotting the louvers in the front of the wheel liner to allow more air to flow through the oil cooler.

I have been driving it everyday lately, and it is getting harder and harder to let it go.

Sorry man, right now I need to rearrange my vehicle situation. We need a newer SUV (well, we don't need one, but the wife for some reason thinks so). So, I am selling all the cars we currently own, the Volvo, the Jeep and the RX-8. Replacing them with either a Volvo XC90 or a Subaru B9 Tribeca. I am picking up a 2004 Mazda6 S V6 5spd for insanely cheap (friend, needs the money). So I will still be in the Mazda family.

The plan is in a few years, hopefully a new RX-?? will be out, and I have been given permission to buy it. Otherwise, there is a rumor that in the next 2 years, the Miata is going to have a Renesis option (gotta get rid of the 13B's somehow), in which case I will get that.

So, I guess next year, you HAVE to go to DGRR. I'm gonna need a ride!

PS- I thought you would be pissed that I am going to sell the Jeep too.

Yep, in January I had 5 cars, Miata, 626, RX-7, Jeep, and the S80.

When this is all said and done, I will have only 2 cars, for at least the next 2 years. That unless something pops up that I can't live without!!!

Over the winter I don't plan to do anything to the FC except paint a few pieces so I have no excuse assuming i can get everything worked out with the piece of poo this summer, and yeah, you definately need a ride.

Meh, she's a grand cherokee right? Those are a dime a dozen if it was a last gen 5-spd Cherokee, I would buy it from you though, then mock you for selling it.
