Q: Sub-zero Start Assist
Going through my car I found that the SSA was disconnected both electrically and hydraulically. I cleaned up the resevoir and got the motor to turn the pump gears. Everything looks good-to-go except that I don't know where the hose goes into in the carb area. If a diagram or picture can be provided it would be greatly appreciated. BTW coolant will glue a gear to plastic over time. I had to use PB blaster on it to get the gear to loosen up enough for the motor to turn the two gears.
It looks like there is a TSB where the SSA is to be disconnected. I'm still looking for the info so I can verify that the place where the hose goes to is properly plugged. Thanks in advance. |
