Default DGRR vets - what to bring?

OK, so I'm finally making it up to DGRR and I'm all sorts of stoked up . Car is almost 100% (runs perfect, just need some more cosmetic tweaks and a brake fluid flush) so I'm thinking about what needs to get packed.

So, what are must-have items for the event?

I've heard mention of walkie-talkies since cell phone coverage is weak up there. Any preference?

I would think a cooler with drinks would be a good idea. Are snacks/drinks readily available?

Sunscreen?

Any ideas here, I'd love to hear 'em!

Dale

Cell phone coverage is like 0. Just read the reviews on walkies. I have some Motorola ones that work decently. Pretty much any of them are going to have a 50-100 yard range.

Sunscreen is probably a good idea if you're going to be doing runs all day with the sunroof open.

Small tool box can't hurt.

I would say that a AAA membership is mandatory with Rotary ownership. SOME things don't need to be worried about/brought when you have a membership.

I know I know..... Is that $250-265 price a definate thing for DGRRX? If that's the case I'll pick one up there. I got slammed with some unexpected AND expected parts sooooooooooo coin is going to be a little tight for a month. But I definately want to grab one and definately want to make a few runs with ya. Try out some different angles etc. I really want to get it mounted on the rear between the cans staring at your nose. I think that would be bitchin'

Good stuff fellas!

Is it wise to bring stuff for the cabins, like breakfast food, snacks, what have you? Not sure how far it is from the village to somewhere with supplies.

I don't know for sure if I'll have any of these for sale at DGRR at a discounted rate. To get through all their vendor requirements and have a case shipped before DGRR is going to be cutting it very close so I can't promise anything. You are the only one who has expressed interested in it. If I had at least 12 people confirmed that would like one of these at DGRR for the discounted rate I might push harder to get it done
Post any more responses or questions over here so I don't continue to thread jack http://www.rotarycarclub.com/rotary_...ad.php?t=10341

haha If you had it facing me you better have one hell of a run going or you'll be getting a close up the whole time

Bryson City is about 10-15 miles away. Several fast food places, a couple of grocery places and Advance Auto.

And the nearest Walmart I'm aware of is in Murphy, about 35 miles from Nantahala.

Bring CASH, someone WILL have something for sale that you WILL want to buy. You will kick yourself on the nuts for years to come for not being able to buy that special something.
