24 Hour Runoff - January 2010 Jackstand Project Car Of The Month
Since we had a 3 way tie we'll have a 24 hour runoff!
Vote now for January's Rotary of the Month. FIBREMAZ 13 BEEF Location: Adelaide, Australia Mine is a 1968 1500/Luce Estate Been working on it for 10 months on and off Here's my old girl. I drove it as a daily for about a year and got sick of no power with piss poor 4 banger motor. Engine conversion - Previously 1.6 capella motor Now has - 13B 6 port from Aussie delivered FC/S4 N/A model Microtech Lt10s ECU, handset Custom ally radiator & oil cooler 16" Spal fan S4Turbo gearbox, lightened flywheel, H/D organic clutch (Extreme) braided line Big surge tank, Bosch EFi pump, Sa22c pre-pump - injectors cleaned & tested + new seals etc Reconditoned brakes -everything. Master cylinder, calipers, new discs on front and new pads all round, rubber brake lines replaced Rx5/Cosmo diff modded to fit leaf springs Guard mirrors soon to go on Rotar shaped overflow tank for radiator (from New Zealand!) Nardi Torino steering wheel Miata/Mx5 seats retrimmed, new speakers in headrests Half moon headlight chrome covers Carbon Fibre blockoff plates here and there ---------------------------------==================== WE3RX7 Project FC 13B RE Single Turbo Swap Location: VA I have owned my FC since 2000. My family has always been into RX7s so I guess thats why I got into it. Back in 2002 the original NA engine blew. I spent the next two years swapping it to a T2. That motor was junk, so I ended up getting a rebuilt T2 streetported engine. After installing it, I wasn't super pleased with how the rest of the car stacked up. I decided it was best off to fully restore the car and have something to keep for years to come. I started restoring it in 2006 and thats where it is now. The front clip is almost together. The plans are to complete the 13B RE single turbo swap, finish the body work/paint to completely change the color over to Innocent Blue Mica and restore the interior to a nice black tone (opposed to the oh so popular blue that many S4 cars have). Everything I've done with the restoration has been time consuming, but worth it. Every nut/bolt/washer is being addressed. Things get cleaned, polished, painted, rust protected, etc no matter what. This car will NOT be a trailer queen though as so many have told me it will be. I plan to complete it late this year to have a good season of HPDE and Circuitcross! Looking forward to have it at DGRRXI! Links to more photos! RCC Project album Updated pics coming soon as I fix my busted camera more pics and full build thread: http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...read.php?t=267 (yes, I'm whoring my thread out, need to catch up to Brians!!) ================================================== ======= sen2two Location: In a Cold spot. Project 1972 RX2 1972 Rx2. Havnt touched in much since its quite cold out. It still has the original 12a twin dizzy (6mm apex seals!) motor wich has pretty damn good compression. needs work, but what 38 year old car dosnt? but the plans are as of right now... 12aPP, 48 ida webbers, street car.. __________________ Good luck to all and thanks for participating!
