Default FS: custom turbo-back exhaust; 2.375" ID dp; $140 + shipping; Ames, IA 50010

This is a full exhaust from the turbo back, 2.375" ID downpipe to flex, to 2.375" y-pipe splitting to two 1.875" ID pipe that run to mufflers. My stock turbo boosts 12psi fine with this exhaust. It sounds alright, it could be better and I imagine a good place to start making it sound better would be to improve the flex pipe section. It looks rusty, but seems to be sealing pretty well, and the improvements I made to the y-pipe seem to be sealing properly also. The dual tips have a bit of an oily gold shine to them, they might be stainless steel. They clean up nice, I just haven't bothered much since Iowa weather dirties everything quickly. One of the flange welds looks broken, and it used to be, but I had a shop weld it properly for me a while ago and it has been fine since then.

I can't say for sure how many miles are on this exhaust, but it's probably not more than 15,000 except for perhaps the downpipe. The y-pipe back came with the car when I bought it, but had been driven VERY scarcely by the previous owners. They kept it in the garage to work on it and gave up on the project before driving it much. The downpipe I bought used and it's been on there about a year, it has one standard O2 sensor bung.

The used turbo to downpipe gasket will come with the system, it has minor surface cracks but is still intact. The other gaskets should be replaced, but I'll send them along with the system if the buyer wants them. I also have all the nuts, bolts, and washers necessary to put the system together. It does not come with the nuts to bolt it to the turbo nor exhaust hangers. The system does use most of the stock hanger positions though; the mufflers use all their respective stock hanger positions and the flex section uses a stock hanging point.

WARNING: If you do not have a ported wastegate, this exhaust will most likely result in boost creep, which unchecked can cause your motor or turbo to die. However, porting your waste gate is relatively inexpensive and fairly easy, especially if you remove and install the turbo yourself, and cheaper still if you already have tools to do the porting with.

This exhaust does not make use of the fresh air supply from the air pump, which is really just there on the turbo model for emissions reasons. It would be a great system for someone looking for some cheap power for their TII while keeping the noise down to a reasonable level. If you're gentle with the throttle you could even see an increase in fuel economy.

I'm looking for $140 plus shipping, post or PM me your zip code for a shipping quote. I will be using UPS.

I am willing to sell pieces separately, but would prefer to sell it all to one buyer. Feel free to ask questions and make offers.

pics! Dog not included
